On Tuesday afternoon, three members of a British family died in a hotel on the Costa del Sol in southern Spain. A 9-year-old was in need in the pool of the Hotel Club La Costa World in the Spanish resort of Mijas. The father and brother wanted to save it, but were killed in the process. The mother alarmed the rescue workers, but they could no longer help.
Meanwhile, the bodies of the three family members have been autopsied. It came out that all three drowned. The second daughter of the family was also examined. She had bathed with her sister shortly before the accident, but then went to the hotel room alone. However, no signs of chlorine poisoning were found.
As the Spanish newspapers “El Pais” and “El Mundo” report, the victims apparently could not swim well. The mother is said to have given the investigators on record.
