The successful show masters Joko Winterscheidt (41) and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf (36) would have tricked in their programs “Late Night Berlin” and “The Duel Around the World”:

Prosieben has now published a statement on each of the allegations that the reportage leads into the field.

accusation: Amateur actors were booked on “Late Night Berlin”.

Prosieben says: «In addition to spontaneous passers-by, open-source and public participants are occasionally searched for feature films to ensure that sufficient protagonists are available who are willing to be filmed. They don’t know what is being prepared for them editorially. »

This means: The broadcaster admits that actors are cast for the contributions.

accusation: Actor Edin Hasanović did not land the hot air balloon alone. There was a pilot on board.

Prosieben says: «We work on all films

This means: Prosieben confirms the research. Hasanovic was not flying alone. Nevertheless, the stress for the actor is real.

Prosieben says: «The aim of the contribution was to raise awareness of the theft of bicycles in a humorous way. This can be described as successful and, to our knowledge, has been done in the interests of the Berlin police. »

“After successful completion of a shoot with a hidden camera, so-called sectional images are often rotated for production reasons, either with the consent of the protagonist or a substitute protagonist.”

«Self-critically, we would like to add that in this case the satirical approach of the film might have had to be made clearer. However, the editorial team and the production had assumed that a fire-eater, a woman about four meters tall and a church choir would provide sufficient evidence of this. »

This means: The broadcaster also confirms the research here. And put into perspective that the intention was not to make the contribution appear purely documentary.

«The magazine STRG_F apparently did intensive research on ProSieben entertainment formats. That is honorable. But the methods don’t. Why? Massively involved and uninvolved were put under pressure. »

“I guess the question was raised, ‘Do you know someone who hates Florida?’ We would like to distance ourselves from such research methods. »
