Prevent German-speaking Swiss from traveling

According to the “Tages-Anzeiger”, the Uri police guard the gateway to the south, the Gotthardstrasse tunnel. Together with her Ticino colleagues, she is looking for a solution to keep German-speaking Swiss from traveling. Specific measures are to be decided on Friday.

Only the Federal Council could order the tunnel to be closed. From the point of view of the Federal Department of Transport, however, it is clear «that the national roads as the main arteries of supply must remain open».
