To reduce the risk of transmission, the health department makes the following recommendations for events:

1. Events of any size with participating groups from the affected areas (Italy, China, South Korea, Iran) should not be held.

2. Events with many people in close physical contact in closed rooms should not be held (for example clubs).

3. Events with external participants in retirement and nursing homes should not be held.

The second point could practically mean a temporary end to Zurich nightlife. The health directorate does not prohibit parties, but relies on personal responsibility.

The number of people newly infected with the coronavirus rose from Monday to Tuesday afternoon 13 – that’s 4 new cases. They are two women and two men between the ages of 22 and 28. You have been infected in already known cases. As the health department writes, most of those affected are so well off that they would not have to be hospitalized if they had not been tested positive.
