Do you suffer from fear of flying?

A reader reporter who was on board describes the horror experience: «I fell asleep after dinner. Suddenly I heard emergency calls from the cabin through the microphone. Then it went down pretty quickly. People shouted and prayed. I have never been so afraid for my life. »Finally, the breathing masks that they all put on had fallen off.

Waiting for onward flight

In the middle of the night, around 3 a.m., the plane could stop in Diyarbakir. According to the reader reporter, the landing was quite normal and no one was harmed. At the airport, however, nobody from Oman Air was there to take care of the shocked passengers. Finally, the airport staff took the stranded passengers to buses with which they were transported to a hotel. Now it is time to wait until an onward flight is available.

“I’m just happy that I’m still alive,” said the reader. «I’m not afraid to get back on a plane. It’s basically a very safe means of transportation. ”Oman Air confirmed an unscheduled landing in Diyarbakir via Twitter and apologized to the passengers for the inconvenience.
