20 minutes – “It hurts – I make the goods with passion”

Crime scene farm shop: In the night of Monday, a hooded stranger with a gray hoodie and a green shopping bag attacked the farm shop Wisli shop in Eggenwil, as a Facebook post by the owners shows. This has not escaped the attentive yard dog. “He suddenly barked loudly at 2.45 am,” says farmer Tanja Belser (38), who runs the shop together with her husband.

Have you ever paid too little in a farm shop?

By the time her husband was at the farm shop, the thief had already packed his booty. “My husband was still trying to track him, but he only saw him leave with a flashlight,” said Belser. But he got away. Only the recently installed video camera showed what had happened in the shop: «The stranger packed food for five minutes and took the cash register with change. He took a lot of time and first examined the products. »

“It hurts when someone just uses it”

In the green bag he had brought with him, he had packed pasta, apple rings, tea, roasted almonds and apple juice – a total damage of just over 100 francs was incurred. «I manufacture the products with a lot of passion. It hurts when someone just uses it. »

Belser wants to continue running the shop despite the theft. She suspects that the thief is from the region because he knew about the shop. So far, however, she has received no information about the call on Facebook. «He has a distinctive jacket. I hope someone knows him. »

Investigations are ongoing

The cantonal police in Aargau were on site after the theft, as spokesman Bernhard Graser says. The culprit is still unknown, the investigation is ongoing. There is nothing wrong with a private search on Facebook, since the person in the picture is masked. “But the benefits are rather modest,” says Graser. However, the publication could have a deterrent effect. “It gets tricky because of personal rights, however, if the perpetrator is recognizable.”
