Rumors about the iPhone SE 2 have been circulating for a long time. Many sources call the upcoming iPhone SE 2. According to the platform Macotakara.jp but the new entry-level device should be called iPhone 9. The reason for this is that the phone will come in a similar design to the iPhone 8.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the phone will be on the market from the second half of March because it went into mass production in January. This would also fit the timeline of the previous iPhone SE, which was presented for the first time in March 2016.

Apple analyst Kuo has also made a prediction as to the price of the new iPhone model. He assumes that the smartphone will cost the equivalent of around CHF 300. This is significantly cheaper than other Apple products. The iPhone 11, for example, is only available from around CHF 700.

Computer-generated images have already appeared on the Internet that show what the new Apple device could look like (see image series). It can be seen that the device will probably have a home button again. Kuo predicts that the phone will look the same as the iPhone 8. In addition, the device should probably not have a borderless screen.

Although it does not suggest the older design, the latest technology should be in the device. The same processor, which is also in the iPhone 11, is supposed to drive the device. In contrast, the phone should only have a rear camera and a screen with a rather low resolution. Not much is known about the interior of the smartphone.

Kuo predicts that Apple will also introduce a few other gadgets in addition to the iPhone SE 2. The tech giant is said to be working on a charging mat that can charge the iPhone, Airpods and other Apple products wirelessly and simultaneously. Apple is also said to be working on a small tracking tag that will make it possible to locate everyday items such as keys or a bike.

Apple fans should also be able to count on a new iPad model, a new MacBook Pro and new Bluetooth headphones this year. Kuo also admits that the time frame it predicts will be affected by the outbreak of the corona virus, and product announcements could therefore be delayed somewhat.
