Shortly from 2 a.m. a 36-year-old man drove a delivery van on Monday night on the Rothenblattstrasse from Schönenberg ZH towards Saturday ZH. His vehicle came off the road in a slight left turn for reasons not yet known and crashed into a tree, as the Zurich cantonal police announced. While the handlebars were only slightly injured by the impact, the immediately disengaged forces at the 31-year-old passenger could only determine death.
Because of this traffic accident, the Rothenblattstrasse on the affected section had to be closed for around two hours. The exact course of the accident is the subject of ongoing investigations.
