Merdeka.com – Mark Zuckerberg satirized Apple’s newly released Augmented Reality (AR) glasses. According to this Meta boss, Apple Vision Pro is not an exciting device. Tends to be only for ‘sitting alone on the couch’ people.
As is well known, these AR glasses from Apple are priced at USD 3,499 or Rp. 51 million. Meanwhile, Meta has AR glasses at a lower price than what Apple offers.
“Just look at it, every demo they show is someone sitting alone on the couch. For me that’s not the future of computing. Meanwhile, the products we have actually invite people to be active and do something,” Mark told his employees at the Meta headquarters , California, United States of America as reported by NYPost, Monday (12/6).
Meta himself already has AR glasses, namely the Meta Quest 3. Meta prices for this headset starting at USD 499 or IDR 7 million.
Keep in mind, Zuckerberg has poured billions of dollars to build his vision in the Metaverse. Metaverse, according to him, should be able to become a new social experience for users.
Zuckerberg isn’t the only person criticizing the Apple Vision Pro. Former Apple executive Tony Fadell who is known as the “father of the iPod” also made his scathing criticism.
“With an expensive device, it’s like jumping into a shark’s mouth,” he said.
