The election of the next secretary general of the Socialist Party (PS) will take place between 15 and 16 May and the XXIII congress of the party is scheduled for 30 and 31 May in Portimão, decided this Saturday, the National Commission, who will meet in Porto.
During this meeting of the National Commission, the highest organ of socialists between congresses, was also determined for March 13 and 14 the election of the presidents of the district federations of the PS.
April 4 and 5 are followed by several federal congresses, according to the internal calendar for 2020, approved this Saturday by the National Commission.
The PS Standing Committee recommends that between January 31 and February 1 the elections of the PS sections and councils be held.
By February 4 “meetings of the Federation Political Commissions have to be held to mark elections and date of the federative congress and to fix the total number of delegates to elect,” the document approved by the National Commission is written.
On May 15 and 16, the election of the PS secretary general, the president of the Socialist Women and the delegates to the Congress was scheduled.
