Gold medalist at the Tokyo Olympic Games, Pedro Pichardo was received at a party in Lisbon. Upon arrival at Humberto Delgado airport, the Portuguese athlete had some fans waiting and had the right to hear the anthem, played by a police band.

Asked about the 17.98 meters achieved in the final of the Olympic triple jump competition, Pichardo spoke about all the work associated with it.

“Everyone thought reaching that mark was easy, but I’ve been working for many years looking for a good way to make it look easy. I will not stop here, I will continue to work to achieve more medals and so that in the next Olympic Games I can also be received in this way», he concluded.
