Report: Prince William ‘will never watch’ Harry and Meghan series

Calls to prevent the couple from attending King Charles’s coronation

A press release has revealed that Britain’s Prince William will “never watch” the new documentary series about his brother Harry and his wife Megan Markle, which is currently streaming on the ‘Netflix’ platform, and brings harsh and controversial criticism of the royal family.

Three episodes of the series were shown, most of which focus on media harassment and racial innuendo in print and online. But the rest of the series should speak to the lack of support from the “royal family,” which Harry and Megan say they have been victims of, according to Agence France-Presse.

And a report published by the “Sunday Times” quoted one of William’s friends as saying, “He (William) says he will never see him, and I know he certainly won’t.”

The newspaper also reported that the palace confirmed that a number of allegations made by Harry and Meghan during the first three episodes were “untrue”.

A royal source described Meghan’s claim that she was insufficiently informed of the rules of royal protocol as “an outright lie”. “There was evidence for everything,” she told the paper. Walks, clothes, everything. The level of support has been very intense for her.”

She added that ahead of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding in May 2018, Harry’s private secretary at the time, Ed Lynn Fox, presented Meghan with a 30-point dossier that included comprehensive evidence of royal life and royal protocol. .

Another royal source has denied Meghan’s claim during the series that the royal palace had encouraged her not to invite her niece, Ashley Hill, to the wedding. She said, “This didn’t happen. We have never given any advice or direction as to who should or shouldn’t attend her wedding among her family or her friends.

Yesterday (Sunday), British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly defended the royal family after the controversy sparked by the first episodes of the series Harry and Megan.

Cleverly told Sky News there is no greater advocate of a multicultural Britain than Prince Charles. He added: “I think the attitude of the royal family towards this country reflects the modern state that we see.”

In the same context, a number of political thinkers, royal historians and leading figures now believe the couple should not be allowed to attend King Charles’ coronation on May 6.

David Mellor, a veteran Conservative Party member, told British newspaper The Daily Mail: ‘They shouldn’t be coming to the coronation ceremony. They should not go out categorically. They make money by trading their family’s reputation among the people. I think it should be clear to them that the British people don’t want them there.”

Mellor also indicated that people “would have every right to boo and berate if the couple were to participate,” adding, “They’re an unhappy couple and have no hope in their current path.”

Former Conservative Party leader Iain Duncan Smith echoed his colleague’s views, asking why the couple might be interested in attending the coronation ceremony “if they don’t like the royal family so much”.

Royal historian Lady Antonia Fraser said she hoped the couple would stay home so as not to draw attention away from King Charles and his wife Camilla.

Since Harry and Megan stepped down from their royal duties two years ago and moved to California, the couple have made sharp criticisms of the royal family and accusations of racism, which the family consistently denies.
