Remembering Ilja Kreslík: The Legendary Czech Actor and Voice Actor

The dubbing world has lost an important voice. Actor and voice actor Ilja Kreslík, who also appeared in the cult Czech series Visitors, died at the age of 69. He also spoke in Czech with the voice of great action heroes.

The Czech actor’s death was reported by his friends on the social network. The Brno actor was mainly associated with the South Moravian scene. After graduating from the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts (JAMU) in Brno, he remained faithful to this city as an actor. During his life, he alternated engagements at the National Theater in Brno and the Municipal Theater there.

Kreslík appeared on television for the first time in 1983, when he starred in the legendary series Visitors. Viewers could remember his performance mainly in television works such as Detective Martin Tomsa, Sinful People of the City of Brno or Chetnické Humoresky.

But the Czech actor left his mark mainly in dubbing. His voice was heard in classic action films such as Sniper, Psycho II, Backfire! or Mel. He also devoted himself to work on the radio and producing audiobooks. He spoke to the audience with, for example, Raymond A. Moody’s popular book Life after Life.
