After Harry and Meghan’s recent disparaging remarks about the royal family, relations between the British nobility are more strained than ever. However, according to the expert, this will not change some Christmas traditions that have always been cherished. Despite the resentment Princess Kate and Meghan feel towards each other, they have to choose gifts for their grandchildren.
Kate and William have good reason to be angry. In the trailer for the shocking Sussex documentary, Prince Harry chastised his family for lying about his brother all along. Even Meghan did not spare her husband’s relatives and agreed with her words.
However, according to royal correspondent Roy Nikkhah, couples will have to suppress their aversion. They have to maintain certain traditions that have always been important to the family. That’s why they’ll be exchanging Christmas presents.
“Believe it or not, the Sussexes will be exchanging gifts with the Prince and Princess of Wales this year. Despite the couple’s bad blood, William and Kate would never deprive little Archie and Lilibet of the presents under the tree”, Nikkhah told the newspaper Sunday times.
“It’s a tradition that even Harry and Meghan wouldn’t afford to break. They will also send gifts for Prince George, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte. But adults don’t give each other gifts,” added second the Mirror Portal Roya Nikkhah and mentioned that everyone dresses up mainly for their offspring.
Prince Harry has deepened the rift between himself and William after hardline criticism of the British royal family. He argued that they should have protected Meghan from the press once. Buckingham Palace is said to have responded to his wish by saying that this is the fate of all royal women and Diana and Kate had to go through the same thing. “It wasn’t like they were throwing me to the wolves, they were feeding me,” Meghan insisted.
