Prince Harry and his wife Meghan may return to Great Britain in the near future. They would also return to their royal duties, which King Charles could grant them again. The British royal family is currently in a crisis where many of its members cannot fulfill their duties for various reasons.
The British royal family may recall Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle from the United States. In Britain, they could function as part-time members of the royal family. At least royal family expert Tom Quinn thinks so, writes the portal Mirror.
The royal couple should spend six months in Britain, where they would attend to their duties, and return to the United States, where they live together, for the remaining six months. Such a division of duties would be completely new.
Harry and Meghan left Britain during the lifetime of Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, who made it clear that they must devote themselves fully to their duties or not at all. With the accession of Charles III. on the throne, however, the situation could change.
Karel may have a less strong opinion on the whole matter. “Meghan and Harry have always hoped that when the Queen dies, Charles will have a more moderate view of what it means to be a working member of the royal family,” Quinn explained.
Returning to Britain is also in Harry and Meghan’s interest. Their brand as the Dukes of Sussex has been on the wane lately. “Working in Britain for six months would promote their brand, which is becoming less and less interesting to the American public,” Quinn added.
Even so, Harry and Meghan’s hope for a return is not very high. Even Karel, like his mother Elizabeth, is not happy about the decision of the Sussexes to give up their duties, but not their titles. As the portal also points out ExpressKarel is a supporter of narrowing the royal family.
On the other hand, the royal family is in crisis. King Karel himself is dealing with his problems with cancer, which prevents him from appearing in public. Queen Camilla, on the other hand, abruptly stopped her duties last week to rest.
