The aim of the event was to promote the understanding of dog owners living in Riga about communication with their dog, its welfare needs and courtesy requirements while in public.
Liene Šternberga, head of the association “Dog with a Mission”: “We are pleased that the idea of the event interested and addressed so many dog lovers. We are glad that there are places in Riga where people with similar values and interests can meet and get acquainted. It just proves that the City Dog Festival has the potential to become a new tradition among dog lovers with a sustainable and meaningful future. ”
Visitors of the event had the opportunity to listen to an educational lecture on dog breeding in the city, watch demonstrations of State Police cynologists and service dogs, participate in the activity “Quick dates with a cynologist”, as well as enjoy open-air cinema at the end of the evening watching the movie “Jacob

We are glad that our values are in line and we also find common solutions to support dogs and their friends. From September, for two months, we also invite everyone who comes to Narvesen to support the noble work of dogs: in all Narvesen stores, donating to a truly beautiful goal – psychological support for seniors and children living in social care centers with the help of a dog therapist, ”invites SIA Narvesen Baltija Dace Doviden, Chairman of the Board.
