ZEIST (ANP) – The number of corona patients in a hospital continues to rise. On Saturday, hospitals treated 741 people for coronavirus infection. This is the highest number since the end of May, according to figures from the National Coordination Center for Patient Distribution (LCPS).
Nursing units are currently treating 585 people with Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus. That’s twelve more than on Friday. The number of corona patients in intensive care decreased slightly, from 160 to 156.
Last 24 hours, seven corona patients were transferred from a nursing ward in the Randstad to another part of the country. This should prevent overburdening the hospitals.
The distribution of corona patients resumed a week and a half ago. Since then, more than 100 people have been moved to other hospitals.
