New train station enters service in Manhattan

The train station, Penn Station, now has more space thanks to the completion of the project called Moynihan Train Hall.

The new station is located in the old post office building, across the street from Penn Station.

The space includes terminals for Amtrak and the Long Island Rail Road.

The first trains left around 5 in the morning.

The new entrance to the station is named after the late New York Senator Patrick Moynihan.

The space is part of a larger project that Governor Cuomo named the Empire Station Complex.

The initiative includes remodels at Penn Station and expansions to accommodate more tracks at the station.
