Quique Setién has won his first match as coach of FC Barcelona. However, that was not easy. Granada held its ground in Camp Nou for 75 minutes, but still had to get down: 1-0.
Setién could not appeal against Granada to the suspended Frenkie de Jong. The 61-year-old trainer from Santander made room for the seventeen-year-old talent Ansu Fati.
Barcelona was not itself against Granada for a long time. The visitors easily managed to stand up in the first half, but did not create any opportunities themselves. The first big chance of the match was destroyed by Lionel Messi, just before the break, on the instructions of Jordi Alba.
Barcelona also dominated the game in the second half, but again had no big chances. The Catalans did not get any further than a shot from Messi. Granada got a chance at 0-1 in the final phase.
