A 16-year-old Indian girl who became the star of TikTok is said to have committed suicide on Thursday 25 June. Siya Kakkar was found hanged at her home, according to information from CNN.
On the social network TikTok which has nearly 800 million users, Siya Kakkar was a star: aged 16, it already totaled more than 2 millionsubscribers. Known for publishing videos of choreographies and sketches, the teenager was however targeted “by a series of threats who would have weakened her to the point of ending her life, “reports the Noon Free.
“A few hours before her death, Siya Kakkar had posted herself one last time on the social network which revealed her, smiling, on top of a building in New Delhi”. Her manager Arjun Sarin confirms that he was able to chat with her on the day of her death and thatshe “seemed to be fine“, he explains.
According to CNN, the police confirmed the death of the girl and the fact that she was a minor. Siya Kakkar was found hanged at her home.
