Slavia Keeps Trio of Forwards: Beran, Polák, and Slavík Set for 2024/25 Season

Forwards Matěj Beran, Vojtěch Polák and Marek Slavík will also wear the seamless jersey in the next season 2024/25. The Premier League club announced this on their website.

Matěj Beran’s stay is important news for the people of Prague. The experienced forward was one of the team’s drivers, in 44 games last season he scored 34 points for 20 goals and 14 assists.

“I have to say that I started to enjoy hockey again at Slavia and I was very happy here. There was a great group and circumstances. I think we showed great potential at the end of the season, and if we play like this from the beginning of this year, we can go far,” said the team’s top scorer.

“I am also looking forward to new players,” said Beran, who will also welcome his friend to the team. The club will announce who will be in the following days. Now he only sent the message to world that Marek Slavík and Vojtěch Polák would continue in Eden as well as Aries.

At the same time, Slavík, 21, received an offer from Litvínov and had the opportunity to continue as a member of the team outside the league, which he helped in a total of seven games. In the end, however, Slavia prevailed.

“I think it will be better for my development, besides, I had a lot of interest from Slavia’s coaches, and that’s why I decided to stay,” said the young striker, who played last year 51 games for the Prague team with a record of 2 +8.

The 19-year-old Pole helped Slavia in 31 duels, collecting seven points for three shots on goal and four assists. At the end of the season, he joined Slavist youth and helped them to a run that ended with promotion to the extra league.

“I like Slavia, I have confidence in the coaches here and it’s a good destination for my development. The advantage is that it is close to home and I can study at the same time,” Poláka is happy.
