These gaming soundtracks were most often listened to on Spotify

It is the end of the year again, so everyone is busy looking back. Likewise Spotify, as you have undoubtedly already seen from all those people who share their Wrapped overview via social media.

Yet there are also some nice statistics for gamers to pick out. For example, the music streaming service was used much more often from a console this year than in previous years. In 2020, streaming from a console was almost 55 percent more often than last year. Both Xbox and PlayStation are included. In general, streaming is more from home anyway, possibly caused by the global pandemic.

Furthermore, Spotify reveals which game soundtracks have done well this past year. At the top is ‘Minecraft – Volume Beta’, followed by the soundtracks from Doom and Death Stranding.

Spotify also has some nice news to report on the soundtrack of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2. After the release of the remaster, in which many well-known songs can be heard, the listening share of the soundtrack shot up by 316 percent.
