Athletic Bilbao, executioner of Barcelona and Real Madrid in the competition, drew 1-1 with Valencia – Gonçalo Guedes and Thierry Correia were holders -, at San Mamés. In the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals, the Basque team took the lead, through Raul García (37′), but the visiting team managed to equalize in the second half, through Hugo Duro ( 65′).
The second leg match, at Mestalla, is scheduled for March 2, with everything even, since, in the event of a tie, goals scored away from home are no longer worth double.
In the other semi-final, Betis is ahead (2-1) over Rayo Vallecano.
