A day after the defeat (2-3) against Santa Clara, in the Azores, Bruno Fernandes turned to social media to defend Esgaio.
The Manchester United star published a story on Instagram with a photo of the Sporting player and two very enlightening messages, calling for the group to unite (#ondevaiumvãotodos), in their former club, and showing full support to their professional partner (@ricardoesgaio47 together).
Yesterday, after the clash with the Azoreans, Esgaio was the target of much criticism on social networks, blaming him for the failure. However, several supporters condemned these excesses and the personal attacks aimed at the Sporting player.
