The 76-year-old actor, who worked primarily as a voice, accent and dialect teacher for actors, died Tuesday at a hospital in Surrey, UK, according to a statement by his advertising agent, Jill Makalov.
“Andrew lived in one of the oldest floating houses on the river Thames, he was fiercely independent, but he loved his wife, who is also a dialect teacher,” Makalova said.
“Andrew Jack was diagnosed with a coronavirus two days ago. He did not suffer from the pain and left calmly, knowing that his entire family was ‘with’ him,” his wife, Gabriel Rogers, who is being quarantined in Australia, wrote on social media.

Jack has portrayed Major (later General) of the intergalactic Resistance Movement in Kelju Imet’s films “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” and “Star Wars: Power Awakens”, as well as the role of Moloch in “Hans Solo: The Story of Star Wars”.
As a teacher of voice, accents and dialects, he has worked on more than 80 films since 1982, collaborating with more than 200 actors.
