SEP replaces free textbooks damaged by floods in Tabasco

MEXICO CITY

306 thousand 555 books damaged or lost were replaced by the floods that affected the state of Tabasco. Thus, 26,115 students from primary school, 15,000 from secondary school and 3,588 from preschool will be able to continue with their learning processes.

Esteban Moctezuma, Secretary of Public Education, He pointed out that education is a priority for the president and therefore they take the necessary actions so that no girl, boy, adolescent, or young person is left without studying and slows down their learning process.

He also recalled that Free TextbooksOn the basis of the Learn at Home III program and a fundamental part for equity in education, that is why all students must have them.

The delivery was made by the SSecretary of Public Education through the National Commission for Free Textbooks (CONALITEG) and it was given at the request of the state educational authorities.

In total, 12 thousand preschool books were delivered, 187 thousand 555 for primary and 107 thousand secondary school books. In the same way, the SEP reminded Tabasco and national students that all books can be accessed through the Free Textbook Digital Library on the CONALITEG website.
