Prince William does not know where to jump first in recent weeks. Not only did he have to take over some of the responsibilities of his father, who is being treated for cancer, but he also had to shoulder all the responsibilities that his wife would normally carry out. But she is recovering from abdominal surgery, and the prince has to turn around even more at home to help her take care of their three children.
Prince William visited London’s The Oval cricket stadium on Friday. There he celebrated Earshot Prize winner Pierre Paslier’s new contract to supply sustainable packaging for use at sports venues. He did not mention his wife Princess Kate’s health during the event, he writes the Daily Mail newspaper.
He arrived at the stadium just hours after photos of the princess appeared on William and Kate’s official Instagram, for the first time this year. But there were no new pictures. All of them were taken during last year, i.e. before her surgery.
William also appeared in public on Friday for the first time since his wife’s uncle Gary Goldsmith entered the Big Brother reality show villa. There according to webu The Sun he talked about the royal family basically immediately. Among other things, he revealed in the villa that he is in contact with his sister Carole Middleton regarding Kate.
“I’ve spoken to her mum, my sister. She’s got the best care in the world and the whole family has come together. Family comes first. They’ve put out a statement saying she needs to take some time off and we’ll see her after Easter,” Gary said on the reality show show.
However, he did not want to comment on where the princess is at the moment. “He doesn’t want to talk about it. So that’s the last thing I’m going to do. There’s a code of etiquette,” he said. He then assured the other contestants that Kate would return to her duties. “Of course he’ll be back,” he declared.
Prince William really doesn’t have it easy this year. His wife underwent unspecified abdominal surgery in mid-January, from which she is still recovering. The prince even took a leave of absence to help her care for their children – George, Charlotte and Louise.
At the beginning of February, however, his father, King Charles III. announced to the public that he had cancer. William thus had to end his vacation early and take over the responsibilities of not only his wife, but also his father. Another part of his duties was then taken over by his wife, Queen Camilla.
