«At a time of great brilliance of our national women’s football team – which I congratulate for, for the first time, having qualified for a final phase of the World Cup – we are again candidates for the organization of the final of the Women’s Champions League in 2025, a competition that we have successfully received in the past», he began by saying, in a ceremony that will re-elect Aleksander Ceferin as UEFA president for the quadrennium until 2027.
