Once upon a time, it was more or less standard that you could try a game in demo form before you bought it. But lately, it’s been bad, really bad.
Whether that will change or not remains to be seen but PlayStation has started offering playable demos for the PlayStation 5 games Death Stranding: Directors Cut and Sackboy: A Big Adventure. These demons are the full versions of the games but you can only play them for a limited number of hours, if you want to play more you simply have to pay for it.
At the moment, however, this is only possible for the above-mentioned games and only in the UK, but hopefully this is an idea that propagates very quickly.
