Pinoso hosts a training course on the prevention of gender violence

Last Monday it opened inPinosoa training course organized by the Commonwealth of Vine and Marble related to the prevention ofgender violence.

This is a course dedicated to both social service or emergency professionals, as well as police, as well as health personnel and public employees from the four municipalities that make up the aforementionedCommonwealth, that is, Pinoso, Algueña, La Romana and Hondón de los Frailes.

The intention of this training, which is being carried out during five sessions, is to create spaces for reflection and awareness of their ownmacho attitudespresent and standardized in professional practice. Similarly, the training will provide measures and instruments that enable the implementation of projects and action protocols.

TheobjectiveThe main objective will be “to facilitate the acquisition of essential knowledge on gender equality in order to achieve an in-depth understanding of the phenomenon of this type of violence,” as explained by the Consistory.

ForLazaro Azorin, Mayor of Pinoso, it is “important to coordinate the actions aimed at detecting this serious problem and to know how to intervene, not only to apply the established protocols, but also to work on raising public awareness.”

At the inauguration, the doctor from the Miguel Hernández University of Elche was present in the Study and Research Program on Women, Feminists and Gender of the Department of Social and Human Sciences, Aina Penyarroja, Donet, who has extensive experience teaching workshops on prevention of gender violence in various educational contexts.

Dr. Penyarroja teaches three of the sessions, while the other two will be taught by Dr. Anastasia Téllez, tenured professor of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the Department of Social and Human Sciences of the Miguel Hernández University, as well as M. Jesús Navarro, Ph.D. in Engineering Agronomist, master’s degree in gender equality in the public and private sphere from the Jaume I University of Castellón and the Miguel Hérnández University.
