Maker PS5 faceplates says Sony can’t make them

CMP Shells does not give up. After legal action from Sony, it had to stop selling faceplates for the PS5, but now it says they are untouchable.

According to CMP Shells, a company that manufactures side caps for the PlayStation 5, says it is “legally untouchable.”

The company was previously known as PlateStation 5, but had to change its name to CustomizeMyPlates last October and then withdraw after legal action is Sony.

CMP Shells is currently back on the market under a new name. To on the official website the company reports that it has applied for a patent to produce its own interchangeable side covers.

“The patent is pending and all sales that are processed before it is approved are untouchable. We didn’t know that before, but now we did. Furthermore, we haven’t copied anyone’s own design. Our hoods improve the existing design with more ventilation.”

CMP Shells says it can start selling as soon as the patent is approved.
