Magazine: Samantha Tina has defeated cancer

Thus, referring to the Lithuanian magazine “Stilius”, reports the domestic edition “Privāta Dzīve”. Samanta also confirmed to the magazine that “the story of oncological disease is a thing of the past”, now she is completely healthy.

Tina has already spoken out about health problems in an interview in 2014 – the singer admitted to the magazine “Ieva” that she “had a serious illness, but, fortunately, only its first stage. And yet at that moment nausea runs.”

In a month, Samanta Tīna will defend Latvia’s honor in the international Eurovision Song Contest. She will start with the song “The Moon is Rising”.

“This song is about strong and amazing women – for all of us! I want us not to hide and not be afraid of our uniqueness and distinctiveness. Therefore, the song invites every woman to crown herself or accept herself with her own hands and be a determinant of her life. We accept and love ourselves, we are proud of what God has given us and what has created us, but we see every difference as wealth, because I am for equality! ” The message of the song “The Moon is Rising” describes the singer.

Several weeks ago – very soon after the presentation of the video of his song – Samant magazine “Kas Jauns” admitted: “The start is good!”

Work on the song is complete. Doesn’t it seem like you can breathe in peace now?

I am really happy because this is such a good start to this project. It just starts with the presentation of the song. But the start is good, I’m happy. You can’t breathe easy, because this year there is a point in the Eurovision rules that a backup video must be filmed – if we go there and, God forbid, I get sick, then they have to show them something. Therefore, each country must pre-film the video in its own home – one-on-one as it will be at the Eurovision show, so that it can then be shown as a recording. Now the whole week is planned for me, and I will not be able to breathe mentally until after March 20. But not for a long time – after that all the papers must be sorted, interviews with foreign media must be given, choreography must be worked on.

What was the way to this song – how many spears are broken, how many gray hairs?

The road was quite interesting, the song was made in a songwriting camp – there were 11 teams, two days. Interestingly, I sang this song on the very first day and I couldn’t get it out of my head anymore. I have to go on stage, I have to tell this story, and I have to burn for it. I don’t need a song that everyone likes.

Who were the first important people to whom you showed this song, to whom you asked for an opinion?

More so it was my local team. To be honest, I tried very hard to dissuade me from this song, from the way it was in the demo version. But I couldn’t stop thinking about it. But I didn’t chant it around, I didn’t show it to my family.

The public’s reaction to seeing the song’s video is ambiguous.

It’s been two days since the clip was released, I get a lot of emails from all over Europe, even after the reaction to my YouTube, I haven’t heard anything bad. Usually ours, Latvians themselves, are more skeptical, but I haven’t heard much here either. I don’t follow the heirs either, I don’t have time for that. Of course, everyone already has their own opinion, I am in favor of equality – there is also a song about it. There are already opinions from abroad that this song is not what is usually heard in Eurovision. And it is hoped that it will stand out against others.

How did preparing for Eurovision affect your privacy? It seems there was no time at all.

Yes, I don’t have time for that, but I’m feeling very well right now. I now have this whole project and the relationship is not relevant at all. Everything has its time. I have learned to be with myself throughout this crazy time. And everything is fine. I’m glad I have a stage and it requires a lot. As I said, I have realized that I am married to my work, to the stage, which I love so, very much.
