“It’s worth it to live in our country. There are values to defend, and any person who does not carry these values may leave the country at any time if it does not agree. It is the freedom of every German.” This sentence, pronounced by Walter Lübcke, 14 October 2015 at a public meeting to Lohfelden (Hesse) about the reception of refugees, cost him his life.
The elected CDU Hesse, 65, was murdered in the evening of the 1er June 2019 to have said publicly that the reception of foreigners was part of the core values of Germany. After having been the object of death threats for four years, he was executed by a bullet in the head at his home in Wolfhagen, in the suburb of Cassel. It was about 23: 30. Lübcke was smoking a cigarette on the terrace, alone.
