Tomonobu Itagaki, the man behind the modern Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden games, has started a new studio.
Itagaki announced this through his Facebook-page. He put part of one Bloomberg article about the history of the Xbox brand published January 6. The part of the interview was not in the original article, but has now been posted by him.
‘I started my own company, Itagaki Games. It’s not part of Tecmo or Valhalla. ‘ He says that he is certainly open to a new collaboration with Microsoft. The modern Ninja Gaiden games originally appeared on Xbox consoles first and some Dead or Alive games were also exclusive to the Xbox platform.
Itagaki left Tecmo (now Koei Tecmo) in 2008 and founded Valhalla Game Studios in 2010. Since then, he has only released the action game Devil’s Third. In 2017 Itagaki left Valhalla Games.
