Clandestine parties continue in Ecatepec despite pandemic

Despite contingency for Covid-19 pandemicyouth scheduled five clandestine parties at Ecatepec municipality, so the government had to cancel them, although many of the attendees showed resistance.

Without taking into account the restrictions issued by health institutions, young people and minors consumed alcoholic beverages in the five clandestine parties detected, in two of which empty solvent containers were found.

The municipal president Fernando Vilchis explained that derived from various citizen complaints, five were dismantled clandestine parties that were carried out in different neighborhoods of the town, in full Phase 3 of the health contingency for the Covid-19.

He commented that during the Phase 3 of the pandemic, the local government will not allow the concentration of people in shops or private meetings.

One of the celebrations, held on the public highway where a letter was placed, brought together nearly 200 young people in the Llano de los Báez neighborhood, many of whom consumed alcoholic beverages and even drugs.

Management staff Economic, Legal and Advisory Development, Civil Protection and Public security, as well as the Comptroller’s Office, among others, participated in the operation to remove young people from the area, who initially resisted, but eventually left the site voluntarily.

During the operation, three parties held at the homes of the Colonies Guadalupe Victoria and Heroes Ecatepec Primera and Second sections, in addition to two carried out in tents installed on the public roads of the Llano de los Báez and La Veleta neighborhoods.

Before, as part of these prevention actions, staff from the Coordination of Markets, Tianguis and Vía Pública de EcatepecWith prior notice, he supervised that street merchants complied with the sanitary provisions, especially to issue only basic necessities, and that businesses that sell groceries sold merchandise only to take away.

Luis Aguilar, head of the aforementioned coordination, mentioned that such actions are carried out by instructions of the municipal president Fernando Vilchis Contreras to decrease the probability of contagion among the population, routes that will continue during the contingency.

The inspection work included the visit to about 15 businesses located in the San Agustín neighborhoods, Valle de Guadalupe farms, Sagittarius III, CTM XIV, Emiliano Zapata Second Section and Morelos Gardens, where it was necessary to remove tables, chairs and other objects that were used in the street stalls to sell food, desserts and even prepared beer and alcoholic beverages from the public thoroughfare.
