Last Friday, samples from a batch of frozen chicken wings imported from Brazil tested positive for nucleic acid, and the day before a routine inspection at a restaurant in the eastern city of Wuhu detected the virus on the outer packaging of shrimp. whites from Ecuador, which had already happened on July 10 with the packaging of this shellfish from three Ecuadorian companies.
Traces of the virus have also been found in samples from the wrapper of frozen fish in a port city in the eastern Shandong province of the country. The Chinese media have shown their concern about the seriousness of the pandemic in Latin America, with more than 5.6 million confirmed cases, as well as in Brazil and Ecuador and the risk that the packaging virus, more than the product itself , can be passed on to consumers.
On the other hand, the health authority reiterated that COVID-19 carriers can transmit the disease during the incubation period, and asked those who test positive to inform the authorities within two hours after the infection is confirmed.
“The greatest source of coronavirus infection is due to confirmed positives and silent carriers of the virus. Those in the incubation period can transmit it,” he says.
The Commission reported in its last count that China adds 84,888 infected diagnosed since the beginning of the pandemic, of which 4,634 people have died.
