There are still very few such cars in the world. The Mirai is actually an electric car that receives energy from a fuel cell electrochemical generator. Hydrogen in this case is an energy carrier, not a fuel, because it is not burned, but serves as a reagent for generating electricity. It is stored compressed in three cylinders on the Mirai floor. Once filled, the car can cover up to 650 km.

The Toyota Mirai is actually a zero-emission car, because the only thing that comes out of it is water. Toyota claims that the system will be fully functional even at minus 30 degrees.

Subjectively, driving seems to be the same as with a large electric car – quiet, smooth and agile. Hydrogen cars in Latvia have not yet been equated with real electric cars. They are not given numbers in blue letters and I have to stand in a traffic jam because I am not allowed to drive on public transport. “
Toyota Mirai consumes 0.8 kg of compressed hydrogen per 100 km. Next question, how much does it cost? It depends on the price of hydrogen. At our only station, a kilogram costs 11 euros plus VAT. The maximum speed of a hydrogen car is slightly higher than that of an electric car. If you drive with Mirai to Germany, you can also take a car. And there are many hydrogen stations in Germany.
Conclusions
Let’s remember how we went with Toyota hybrids. When they started it all, they were almost the only ones. The others looked, laughed at what you were holding with their electricity, re, where diesel and gasoline, there’s real power. Where we are today, you will have noticed. Because don’t say five that in ten years or more the same thing will happen to hydrogen cars.
