A truck with Turkish registration hit a minibus in the emergency lane. The driver of the van, 33 years old, a Bulgarian citizen, died due to the heavy impact. The accident happened on the 94th km of the “Trakia” highway in the direction of Sofia, announced the spokesman of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Pazardzhik, Miroslav Stoyanov.
The driver of the Turkish TIR was tested with drager and his sample was negative. Teams from the “Road Police” sector, which serves the highway, and a rescue and emergency team from Plovdiv were sent to the scene. An inspection is carried out by a duty group. The prosecutor’s office was also notified.
