This Thursday, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro fired Deputy Chief of Staff Vicente Santini for the second time in a week, following the controversy over the use of an Air Force plane to fly from Davos, Switzerland, to Nova Delhi (India).
The trip generated numerous criticisms and allegations of corruption.
On Tuesday, the Brazilian head of state ordered Santini to resign, after he returned from a state visit to India, for which he requested an Air Force plane to travel alone, which Bolsonaro considered “completely immoral”.
However, on Wednesday, he was reappointed to another government post.
After several criticisms from public opinion, Jair Bolsonaro admitted this Thursday that he will definitely dismiss Santini.
According to the Brazilian press, Santini’s flight cost Brazilian taxpayers 740 thousand reais (about 157 thousand euros).
