A young Cuban woman experienced a true ordeal in her attempt to give her family a vacation on the island, after she and her family were abandoned in a non-operational hotel in the keys.
Through her TikTok profile, the influencer, identified as Camila Navarrete, told of the bad experience she had when booking a vacation with a Cuban bureau.
The dancer, who also lives in Europe, said that this week she arrived in Cuba with the intention of spending a few days with her family in a luxury hotel in the Keys, but everything turned out badly, because when they arrived, they found that the hotel It was completely out of order.
Although the facilities appear to be in good condition, the place was empty, with no guests or employees, nor anyone who could give them a reason for the accommodation they had reserved and paid for in advance.
“They sold me a hotel that is not available. How is this event possible? Imagine, after spending six hours getting to the keys of Cuba, you find that your hotel is completely empty and that the bus that left you has already left,” he denounced in his video.
The young woman showed the facilities of the “ghost hotel” and pointed out that there was not even anything nearby, so she and her family were trapped there. She clarified that the reservation was not even made just online, but in a tourist bureau in Cuba.
Ahead of the criticism, the young woman expressed that the reason she traveled to her native country is because her entire family is there, and she just wanted to give them a few pleasant days, away from all the stress of her precarious daily life.
“Before you tell me ‘well, why are you traveling to Cuba?’ I will tell you that my whole family is there, and if I have the possibility of giving them a few days of relaxation, far from the anguish, the blackouts, the scarcity of food, and the scarcity of everything, I’m going to do it,” he explained.
The story ended well for this Cuban, who pointed out that her sister was able to contact the driver who took them, they left there and were given accommodation in another hotel of the same chain because that one was “out of service.”
