Shots rang out in the city. The criminals were in a dozen cars and blocked access points to prevent police officers from intervening, the station reports.
It started around midnight and lasted for about two hours. Banknotes were on the ground in part of town. The mayor called for people to stay in and be careful. He called it a “robbery of great magnitude by well-prepared thieves”.
It is still unknown what amount the bank robbers have stolen.
