Yesterday, 81 road accidents were registered in the country, 13 of which were victims. A total of 16 people were injured in the accidents yesterday, half of them cyclists and pedestrians.
A total of five people also died in two road accidents yesterday.
On Saturday at 20.27 in Vircava parish of Jelgava region, on the highway Dimza – Vircava – Vairogs, a crashed car “Volvo” was found. As a result of the accident, two people died at the scene. The police continue to explain the circumstances of what happened.
On the other hand, in Nīca Parish, Nīca District, on the Liepāja – Rucava (A11) highway, a frontal collision of an Opel car with a Volvo truck took place. Three people, including two children, died at the scene as a result of the road traffic injuries. In this case, too, the police continue to explain the circumstances of what happened.
