APU received German anti-aircraft guns Gepard – Reznikov

Anti-aircraft guns Gepard will help Ukraine in the war against Russian aggressors

Now the Ministry of Defense is negotiating with Western partners about the Leopard and Abrams tanks. One friendly country is ready to transfer them to Ukraine.

Germany handed over the first three Gepard anti-aircraft guns and their ammunition to Ukraine. Defense Minister Aleksey Reznikov said this on the air of the telethon on Monday, July 25.

He recalled that this is only a part of this type of anti-aircraft guns, which Germany intends to provide to Ukraine. In total, the Armed Forces of Ukraine should receive 15 Gepard installations.

“Today, the first three Gepards officially entered. These are anti-aircraft missile systems, for which several tens of thousands of ammunition were transferred to us. Accordingly, we expect 15 Gepards. Three have already entered Ukraine today, and they are already at the disposal of the Armed Forces,” Reznikov said.

The minister also said that the Ministry of Defense is negotiating with Western partners about the Leopard and Abrams tanks. One friendly country is ready to transfer them to Ukraine.

“At first, our plan is to have several dozen tanks, on which we will conduct exercises of our tank crews, most likely in the Baltic countries … We are now negotiating not only about the Leopard, but also trying to convince our partners that these can be other tanks , for example Abrams,” Reznikov said.

Recall that in June Germany has published a list of weaponswhich has already been or will be delivered to Ukraine. It included 30 ZSU Gepard, air defense system (air defense) IRIS-T, three multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) Mars and other weapons.
