8 arrests and 23 police officers and gendarmes injured in Lyon

During the demonstration against the Global Security law , 23 police officers and gendarmes were injured this Saturday in Lyon, in particular by thrown projectiles, but none had to be transported to hospital.

In addition, eight people were arrested, three of whom were presented to the prosecution on Monday for immediate appearance. A 19-year-old young man from Tassin-la-Demi-Lune and a 29-year-old man from Ain were taken into police custody for violence against a person holding public authority and participating in a group formed for the purpose of committing an offense. They recognized the facts.

Two teenage girls taken into custody

A 22-year-old young man, living in L’Arbresle, was taken into custody for the same facts and for damage to property during a meeting. He recognized the violence but not the degradation.

Two teenage girls aged 17 and 16 from Grenoble were taken into custody for contempt and participation in a group with a view to committing an offense. They were released with transmission of the proceedings to the Grenoble prosecutor’s office.

Finally, two simplified procedures were dealt with for carrying a prohibited weapon.
