As of Monday, the Czechia is now on the Swiss list of risky countries. Passengers from the Czech Republic are required to have a 10-day quarantine after entering Swiss territory. A negative test is not enough. Transit through the territory of Switzerland is permitted, but must take place within 24 hours of entering the country.
Persons who transport urgently needed goods (health care workers, law enforcement officers, staff from international organizations and embassies) who arrive daily or for a maximum of five days for urgent work or medical reasons do not need to be quarantined. , which in some of the high – risk countries stayed in transit for a maximum of 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health updated the travel traffic light on Monday. The Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands has joined the rest of Spain with the updating of the list of countries. There, long-term tests reveal more than 100 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants per day. After returning from these areas to the Czech Republic, Czech citizens are still obliged to take the test within 72 hours in the Czech Republic.
By contrast, Romania is returning to countries with a low risk of coronavirus infection. There are a steady increase of around 83 to 85 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Croatia also remains below 100 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. On the contrary, the situation has worsened in France, and according to the ministry, people should consider the trip well.
“Given the current situation regarding the increased incidence of the disease in European countries, we recommend all citizens of the Czech Republic to carefully consider traveling to high-risk areas with higher numbers of cases. When traveling, it is necessary to pay attention to protecting yourself and your surroundings “said the chief hygienist of the Czech Republic Jarmila Rážová.
If people return from risk areas, they are obliged to inform the hygienic station upon return and undergo a test for Covid-19, the result must be reported again to the relevant regional hygienic station within 72 hours of arrival in the Czech Republic.
