New Zealand Stuff reports that Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings series is a really expensive production. According to them, the first season of the series has cost 465 million dollars, which is more than four billion kronor. That’s quite a lot of money, so much so that the TV series’ budget is $ 150 million higher than what Peter Jackson had for his The Lord of the Rings movies.
Of course, whether all this money will give us a sensible TV series remains to be seen when the season is shown in 2022.
