He continues: “We plan to receive eight more Airbus A220-300 aircraft in 2022. By increasing the number of crew members now, we will continue our preparations for a fleet of 40 aircraft to be reached by the end of 2022.”
In addition to pilots, the airline will also invite experienced flight attendants as well as candidates with no previous knowledge of the aviation industry to apply. The staff selection process will start this autumn and will be implemented in stages until the beginning of summer 2022. airBaltic currently employs a total of 1,366 people, including 200 pilots and 342 crew members.
