A bright comet is approaching Earth. It was last seen by prehistoric people | TN.cz

Astronomers have noticed a comet returning to Earth after tens of thousands of years. You can see it with the naked eye. This is because it is supposed to shine brighter than the stars in the night sky. Astronomers expect a beautiful celestial spectacle.

The comet named C/2023 A3 will return to Earth after an incredible 80,000 years. Despite the fact that the comet, according to the expert portal Universe Magazine is not due to approach our Earth until October 2024, astronomers already expect it to provide a beautiful celestial show.

Astronomers believe that when the comet passes by our Earth, it will shine brighter than the stars in our night sky, writes the newspaper Insider. At the same time, it will reportedly be brighter than comet ZTF, which flew past the Earth this February.

The comet should fly by at a distance of approximately 44 million miles, or more than 70 million kilometers from our planet. According to preliminary calculations, the best conditions for viewing the comet will be in the Northern Hemisphere between October 12 and 20, 2024.

However, astronomers point out that this is only a preliminary estimate. They add that there are many instances in the history of astronomy where the brightness of a comet exceeded the wildest expectations.

Humans could capture a total lunar eclipse. The next one will take place in three years:
