The Covid-19 diagnostic PCR tests at Vizela were known and BOLA knows that the club has enough players to face FC Porto this Wednesday, for the quarter-finals of the Portuguese Cup (20:45), despite a recent Covid-19 outbreak with more than a dozen cases detected in antigen tests.
After the more reliable PCR tests are known, the club has enough players available to be on the field and fully fill the substitutes’ bench, so the game can move forward.
Players, technical and support staff and managers underwent testing on Tuesday, in a total of more than 50 people.
Vizela has more than 30 players, including assets from the main squad and under-23 players that can be used in the Portuguese Cup. Under the rules of the FPF competitions, the postponement of the game will occur if more than half of the senior players qualified to compete are prevented from doing so.
