Famalicão made official Mário Branco’s departure from the position of sports director a few minutes ago, at his own request.
The responsible assumed functions on December 16, when João Pedro Sousa was still the coach and the club was in a complicated situation in the league classification.
According to what A BOLA found, Mário Jorge Branco decided to abandon the project on his own initiative, abdicating the contract year he still had and the respective indemnity. The manager, who played an important role in the restructuring of the squad from January onwards, when he opened the winter transfer market, will not have identified himself with the project for next season and, accordingly, decided to leave.
